Brion + Ida Jones

A 30+ year chiropractic career, paired with the operations leadership that keeps a community practice moving.

Founder & owner

Dr. J. Brion Jones

Over 30 years of chiropractic experience. Dr. Jones studied Pre-Med at East Tennessee State University and graduated from Life Chiropractic College, followed by post-doctorate work at Palmer Chiropractic College. He is fluent in Spanish.

An Eagle Scout and longtime community servant, he has served on Johnson City’s Civil Service Commission, as a reserve deputy for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and as a volunteer youth coach. He received the 2025 James R. Cole Heritage Award.

Ida Jones

Ida’s career in chiropractic care began in 1987. She and Brion married in 1992, returned to Johnson City in 1996 to purchase the practice, and have grown it from a three-office business into one that has supported more than 20 employees.

In 2017 the two launched Total Health and Wellness, the medical sister practice inside the office. Ida leads the clinic’s insurance and billing operations.

Dr. Timothy Scott Carruthers

A University of Iowa graduate (1993) and Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate (1997), Dr. Scott has served as a Faculty Doctor on chiropractic mission trips to Fiji, Bequia, and Brazil, and was featured in the Journal of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association’s Doctor Spotlight.

He has even worked as a backstage chiropractor for Aerosmith and KISS. Off the table, he officiates football from youth leagues to the college level.

Dr. Bryan Tilley

Dr. Tilley believes personalized care is the key to transforming lives — focusing on each patient’s unique case to eliminate chronic pain, restore mobility, and lift overall well-being.

A Kentucky native and Johnson Bible College graduate, he is dedicated to serving the Tennessee community, cheering on Tennessee football, and spending time with his vibrant family of 20+ pets.

Ankur Bhargava, MD

Dr. Bhargava — “Dr. A,” as he likes to be called — completed his residency in preventive medicine at the University of Kentucky and a fellowship at the University of Chicago. He takes a whole-person approach to care, with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, and long-term health goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys being involved with Jonesborough Repertory Theatre and spending time with her husband, Jacob.
